Plecos Plus only ships healthy fish and we have a live fish guarantee. You can be assured that your investment is protected. However, we acknowledge that shipping aquatic organisms has its risks and it is possible for fish to die during shipping for a variety of reasons. Check with us regarding timing of shipments as we don't ship in very cold or very hot weather. Depending on the destination we typically ship on Mondays and Tuesdays to avoid delays.
It is the customers responsibility to be available at the time of delivery to unpack fish and transfer them to their new aquarium in a timely manner. Plecos Plus cannot be responsible for fish that are sitting outside the delivery destination for a prolonged period of time. The live fish guarantee is only for the first hour after delivery.
In order to be able to make a claim on any fish losses it is important that a picture is taken of the dead fish inside the unopened bag and emailed to plecosplus@gmail.com within an hour of delivery. Should a fish die in transit Plecos plus will refund the value of the fish or provide store credit. However, shipping costs are non-refundable.
